- Gradually add about 1 cup of the milk, stir until flour mixture is smooth
- Stir in rest of milk
- Stir constantly over medium heat, until sauce thickens
- Add cheese, stir until cheese melts
- Add macaroni to cheese sauce
- Spoon into 2 greased 2-quart baking dishes
- Bake for 30 minutes
- Add remaining cheese after 30 minutes and broil for 5-10 minutes until cheese is melted and crisps
